Our regular six week
sessions are open to boys and girls 3 years old and older. These
sessions will take
place Tuesday or Wednesday mornings, afternoons, or evenings. We also
offer classes for intermediate and advanced players. |
Our soccer clinics, developed by professional coaches, will
be separated into the following groups:
| 1.
|
3 and 4 Year Old Beginners Classes
- an introductory opportunity for children to develop their physical
fitness, motor skills, confidence, and social personality in a
friendly and non-competitive athletic environment. |
| 2.
|
4, 5, and 6 Year Old Beginners and
Intermediates Classes - a session for players with little or
no soccer experience to develop basic individual soccer skills and introduce the concept
of soccer as a team sport; both beginner and intermediate classes are offered. |
| 3.
|
7 - 10 Year Old Intermediate and
Advanced Classes-
an intermediate and advanced session to further develop basic
individual soccer skills, learn team concepts, and introduce
position play. Current indoor and outdoor players are welcome. |
| 4.
|
11 - 14 Year Old Advanced Classes - a session
designed to improve the skills of players who are already familiar
with the game; players will be grouped by skill level, but may work
on the same or different skills than the other players in the
clinic. |
Students will meet once a week for approximately fifty-five minutes. Each class will include an introduction of new skills and a review of previous skills. The
students will also have the opportunity to practice their new skills during a controlled
scrimmage. Best of all, everyone will have a lot of fun.

Field Hockey Clinics

|
|
Our 8 week field hockey program is designed to start the
kids off with the basic fundamentals of the game. We have four levels
of instruction and play; they are the "ELEMENTARY", "101", "301" and "ELITE"
levels. Each of these levels will challenge the kids to become better
players, sports athletes, and best of all SPORTSMANSHIP. The
instructor team is headed by Dave Marsh; the Varsity Head Coach at Central
York HS, with Jen Gaidos (Jr High Coach at Central York) Beth Milkowski
(Asst Head Coach with Dave at Central York) and Alison Merrifield a Star for
Central Yoprk in past years that has moved on to play at the college level.
The over-all focus of the league is to acquire the basic fundamental
skills needed to play the game. A large emphasis will be placed on
having fun rather than the final score. |
